How can you justify doubling the cost of the parking permit in a year?!

Given the amount of unacceptable and dangerous parking in the Peak District why would you introduce such a huge price hike and dissuade people from using the proper car parks? We'd expect the price to go up over time but a nearly 100% increase is disgusting. We were never sure if we'd have spent £40 paying for parking tickets individually over the year but were happy to pay anyway, but now it's nearly £80 we won't bother.

Increase is far too much

Understand that the National Park have had substantial reduction in National funding but to almost double the parking permit cost is short sighted. I usually buy a permit not because I use it often but to contribute in a small way. I don’t have £80 to donate: As others have mentioned affordable access to green space is important as is affordable parking reducing the overspill on narrow roads causing problems to local communities. A retrograde decision in my opinion, I won’t be renewing my permit this year sadly

Shock parking permit

Have purchased the annual permit for a number of years - as with others in these reviews, I was horrified at the scale of increase this year. If successful can we expect another 100% rise next year?

Far too much money

Parking should be affordable for everyone to be able to use the national park not just those that have a lot of money.

Massive price hike

£45 to nearly £80 is a massive hike in the price of the permit. It's way above inflation or any other measure and is a barrier to people wanting to enjoy the Peak District.
